First thing you need to consider is what kind of bathroom you need and how big the available space you have. Choose the theme you want for your bathroom, it will include wall, floor, ceiling, and bathroom stuffs. Decide where you want to put the tub and shower and other equipment you need. You also need space for bathroom vanity. Vanity is very important for every bathroom because it is where you clean yourself without wetting your feet. The choice of the vanity must fit with whole bathroom design. There is lots of choice for bathroom vanity both antique, traditional, and modern design.

If you are designing private bathroom for you only, you can use you own imagination as you like. If you design bathroom for others family member, you need their input for design. Ask them what they like and not like. Make it good and comfortable for everybody so everyone can enjoy the bathing and cleaning.
